- Does the CD-ROM work on my Apple Mac?
No, the CD-ROM works only on Microsoft Windows based PCs.
- How can I make sure that I've the right Macromedia Flash version installed?
To avoid any potential confusion, we suggest that you install the very latest Macromedia Flash Player 7.
- Is there any virus threat with your CD-ROM?
The master CD-ROM of Trieste in Pictures has been tested with two different anti-virus (Norton and Computer Associates), as well as two different anti-spyware (Lavasoft Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy). We are very confident that the CD-ROM is clear from any known virus.
- When I insert the disc in the CD-ROM drive, nothing happens. What should I do?
Trieste in Pictures is designed to start automatically after a few seconds that you inserted it in the CD-ROM drive. If this is not your case, please follow these simple steps:
- Go to your Windows Desktop and double-click on the My Computer icon
- Double-click on the icon that represents your CD-ROM drive
- Double-click on the file TRIESTE.EXE
The interactive presentation should start after a few seconds.
- The CD-ROM works fine but I get a message "Do you want to install Macromedia Flash 7 activeX?". What should I do?
The version of Macromedia Flash installed on your system is probably old. While the CD-ROM seems to work well, you may wish to consider updating your Flash Player to the laterst release. You can do that in two ways:
- When you get the above message, click OK to install the Flash 7 activeX
- Download the latest Macromedia Flash Player 7 from the Internet
- I tried everything but still can't run the CD-ROM. What is next?
If the above solutions aren't effective and you've no computer expert friend to ask advice to, please free to contact us with a detailed description of the issue and the steps you've already taken to resolve it: info@TriesteCD.com
